Rose’s Journey

It’s 1944, New Orleans. Rose is the dutiful daughter of Sicilian immigrants, working in a warship factory and struggling to escape her mother’s version of womanhood. Her older sister is an Army nurse, sending letters home from the front full of excitement and danger. When Rose meets an Italian prisoner-of-war, she is faced with choices she never anticipated.

Inspired by true events, Saint Joseph’s Day is the story of a young woman forging her own path in an America tempered by loss but bright with promise.
